Introduction to new grinding wheels in this issue:
Most industrial diamonds are used to manufacture grinding tools. Diamond has a particularly high hardness and can grind extremely hard workpieces. At the same time, it has advantages such as high grinding efficiency, good wear resistance, low grinding force, low grinding temperature, and good machining quality. Therefore, the application in grinding of superhard cutting tools such as hard alloys, cutting and grinding of materials such as glass and gemstones, and other aspects is becoming increasingly widespread.
Diamond grinding wheels have the following advantages when grinding workpieces:
1. High grinding efficiency: When grinding hard alloys, their grinding efficiency is several times higher than that of silicon carbide.
2- Has high wear resistance: Diamond grinding wheels have high wear resistance and minimal abrasive consumption, especially when grinding hard and brittle workpieces, their advantages are most prominent.
3. Low grinding force and low grinding temperature: Diamond abrasive particles have high hardness and wear resistance, and can maintain sharpness for a long time, making it easy to cut into the workpiece.
4. High precision and good surface quality of the workpiece being ground: When grinding hard alloy cutting tools with diamond grinding wheels, the roughness of the tool surface and blade is much lower than that of grinding with silicon carbide grinding wheels. The arc radius of the blade is small, the blade is very sharp, and the durability of the blade can be improved by 1-3 times.
